1. Acceptance
By accessing or using TalentStudent.in (“Platform”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
Personal data is handled under our Privacy Policy in line with applicable Indian law including the DPDP Act, 2023 where in force.
2. The service
TalentStudent.in provides tools for educational institutions and users to register, manage staff/students, create or join competitions (Private, City, State, National), upload entries, vote, view rankings, download certificates, manage school profiles, and handle related plan/entry payments as described on the site.
We may modify, suspend or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable.
3. Accounts and roles
- You must provide accurate registration information.
- Roles include Institution Owner (school_admin), Principal, Teacher, Student, Judge and public voter (e.g. Subscriber).
- Some accounts require approval before full access.
- You are responsible for safeguarding login credentials and activity under your account.
- One person should not misuse multiple accounts to manipulate votes or rankings.
4. Institutions and content
Institution Owners and authorised staff are responsible for the accuracy of school profile information, staff/student lists and approvals. Content (text, images, logos, event photos) must be lawful, non-infringing and appropriate for an education audience.
We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these Terms, harm minors, or abuse the Platform.
5. Competitions, entries and voting
- Competition rules on each competition page and master rules apply.
- Entries must be original student work; photo limits and file types must be respected.
- Join and entry approvals follow school / platform workflows (Private vs City/State/National).
- Voting is subject to one-vote rules and role weights published on the Platform. Manipulation, fake accounts or automated voting is prohibited.
- Ranks and certificates reflect Platform calculations and published results; we may correct clear errors.
6. Fees, plans and payments
Subscription plans and optional entry fees are described on Pricing / competition pages. Where payment is manual (UPI/bank + screenshot), access or approval may wait until verification. GST invoices and tax treatment follow applicable law. Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated by us.
7. Intellectual property
Platform software, design and trademarks belong to the operator of TalentStudent.in. You retain rights in content you upload, but grant us a licence to host, display and process it for operating competitions, profiles, voting and certificates. Public showcase of entries is part of the service when you participate.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to: break the law; upload malware; harass others; scrape the site unreasonably; bypass security; misrepresent identity or institution; or use the Platform for non-educational spam or commercial abuse unrelated to the service.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. See our Disclaimer. To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions made by schools or users based on ranks or certificates. Our aggregate liability for a claim relating to the Platform is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in the three months before the claim, or INR 2,000, whichever is higher, unless mandatory law says otherwise.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for Terms violations, legal risk, non-payment or prolonged inactivity. You may request account deletion as described on the Data Deletion page. Institution Owners may have additional steps before full removal of a school entity.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at the competent jurisdiction related to our place of business in Punjab, India, shall have subject to applicable law.
