1. Agreement

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of TalentStudent.in (the “Platform”). By registering or using the Platform you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. The service

TalentStudent.in provides tools for educational institutions and users to register, manage staff and students, create or join competitions, upload entries, vote, view rankings and certificates, manage school profiles and related subscription/payment flows as offered on the site.

Features may vary by role (Owner, Principal, Teacher, Student, Competition Judge, public voter) and by subscription plan.

3. Accounts & eligibility

  • You must provide accurate information and keep it updated.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding login credentials and for activity under your account.
  • Institution Owners are responsible for staff and student accounts linked to their institution and for required consents (including for minors’ data and photos).
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, applicable law, or that pose security or abuse risks.
  • Some actions require approval (e.g. institution registration, student self-registration, certain payments, competition levels).

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload unlawful, harmful, defamatory, obscene, infringing or misleading content.
  • Submit copied work as original student entries or manipulate voting unfairly.
  • Harass others, attempt unauthorised access, scrape the service abusively, or disrupt the Platform.
  • Misrepresent your identity, role or institution.
  • Use the Platform for purposes unrelated to legitimate educational competition activity.

We may remove content or restrict access where we reasonably believe a violation has occurred.

5. Competitions, entries & voting

  • Competition rules, class limits, dates, fees and prizes (if any) are set by the organiser (institution and/or Super Admin) and displayed on the competition.
  • Entry uploads must be the participant’s own work unless the competition rules say otherwise.
  • Voting is subject to Platform rules (including one vote per eligible voter per competition as configured, and role-based weights where enabled).
  • Approvals by school staff may be required before entries appear or before paid joins complete.
  • Rankings and certificates depend on valid scores and competition completion settings.

6. Plans, fees & payments

  • Subscription plans and limits (students, competitions, gallery, etc.) are described on the Pricing page and may change with notice.
  • Where payments are collected manually (e.g. UPI/QR/bank transfer + screenshot), activation depends on verification and approval.
  • Invoices/tax documents, where generated, are provided as a convenience; ensure your billing details are correct.
  • Fees already approved are generally non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated by us in writing.

7. Intellectual property

  • The Platform design, software and branding are owned by us or our licensors.
  • You retain rights in content you upload, but grant us a non-exclusive licence to host, display and process it to operate the service (including competition pages, voting and certificates).
  • Institutions must ensure they have rights/permissions to upload logos, photos and student work.

8. Third-party services

The Platform may link to third-party sites (e.g. social networks, maps, affiliate product pages). We are not responsible for third-party content, policies or practices.

9. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Educational outcomes, prizes fulfilment by third parties, and accuracy of institution-provided information are not guaranteed by us beyond our reasonable operation of the software.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from use of the Platform. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform is limited to the fees you paid to us for the service in the three (3) months before the claim, or a minimal amount permitted by law if no fees were paid.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TalentStudent.in and its operators from claims arising out of your content, your misuse of the Platform, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.

12. Suspension & termination

You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, non-payment, risk, or operational reasons. Provisions that by nature should survive (liability, indemnity, IP) will survive termination.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at a competent jurisdiction in Punjab, India (or another forum required by mandatory law) may have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any rights consumers may have under applicable law.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
